Pinka EXTREME

We warmly welcome you to the third and FINAL race of the 2026 Vasi Trail Running Series! The Pinka EXTREME needs no introduction – it's already a legend. Come, run with us, and close out your winter training season with this exciting race!

Date and location:

February 22, 2026, Felsőcsatár, Felsőcsatári tábor (47.207345, 16.431667)

Parking: Alonside the road that leads to the event center. Please keep free moving possible for the locals, dont block their car entrance!

Schedule:

9:30-10:50- Bib pickup, registration

10:30- 400m Kids race start

10:40- 2km mini-run start

11:10- S-Distance, M-Distance, L-Distance start

11:20- 400m and 2km mini-run prizegiving ceremony

13 aprox. - S,M,L-distances prizegiving ceremony, VTS overall prizegiving

We will also avard a special prize for the first woman and man completing the steep downhil- Pinka canyon- climb to finish section! This is an around 2.3km section containing 40m of uphill and 60m of downhill. In any of the loops you complete you can run a best time on this segment, and the very best of yours will be taken in account.

Don't forget your BIB number at home from the previous race. Please use the same one again!!!

Prizes:

The top 3 finishers in each age group category will receive a certificate of achievement, and the winners will also receive valuable gifts courtesy of the sponsors.

After the third race, the top 3 women and men in the overall standings will be awarded based on a points system. The description of the points system can be found here.

Time keeping:

KORIM electronic timing system will be used in the race. Chips can be collected during registration, and we provide them free of charge to all runners. However, please make sure to return the chip after the race! A lost chip will result in a compensation fee of 20,000 HUF!

Results:

The results will be available on the korimtiming.hu website during the race. This will provide access to the continuously updated results.

Start bib:

This year, we will provide a strong, tear-resistant bib number, which we ask you to bring with you to each race and reuse.

Categories:

400m Kids Race: Boys/Girls: 0-10 (free of charge).
Mini-run (2km): Boys/Girls 0-10; 10-15 (This category will be timed manually, and participants will not receive a finisher medal or bib number. Successful finishers will receive a certificate. The winners of these categories will also be announced during the award ceremony).
S-distance (~5km): Men/Women 0-15; 15-35; 35+
M-distance (~10km): Men/Women 0-15; 15-35; 35-55; 55+
L-distance (~20km): Men/Women 15-35; 35-55; 55+

The Mini-run covers the first 1km of the 5km course, running back and forth. Unfortunately, this section doesn't allow for more intense trail running, as the beginning of each lap will be on asphalt due to the terrain conditions.

The Pinka EXTREME is special because it takes place on a relatively hilly, technical course. On one particularly steep section, we even provide a rope to assist participants in reaching the top. A significant portion of the course runs through the Pinka-valley, which offers "EXTREME" beauty. Despite the challenging conditions, the course is physically achievable for anyone who has successfully completed the previous races.

Entry and prices:

The 400m kids' race can be registered for free on-site.
For the other categories, the registration fees vary according to three different registration periods:

Discounted registration (Kedvezményes): Until midnight on January 11, 2026.
Regular registration (Normál áras): Until midnight on February 15, 2026.
Late registration (Késői): Until 8:00 PM on February 21, 2026.

On-site registration: Available at the race center, subject to availability of bib numbers, at the "Late registration" price.

Discounted entry:

Mini-run: 2500 Ft ( aprox. 6.5 eur)

S, M, L-táv: 6000 Ft ( aprox. 15 eur)

Regular entry:

Mini-run: 3500 Ft ( aprox. 9 eur)

S, M, L-táv: 8000 Ft ( aprox. 20 eur)

Late entry:

Mini-run: 4500 Ft (aprox. 11.5 eur)

S, M, L-táv: 10.000 Ft (aprox. 25 eur)

During registration, you can choose either the "Normal" or "Basic" package. The difference is that the Normal package includes a finisher medal. There are 100 medals available per race! The Basic package is 2,000 HUF (aprox. 5 eur) cheaper (discount not aplies for Mini-run entries).

If you register for all three races by November 20, 2025, you will receive a 2,000 HUF discount on the price of the last race (discount not aplies for Mini-run entries).

You can register on the E-nevezés page, where card payments are accepted. We can only accept cash payments at the on-site registration price.

VTS-Pinka EXTREME entry

Course:

The race takes place on a roughly 5km course, which must be completed multiple times depending on the chosen distance (S-distance 1x, M-distance 2x, L-distance 4x). The Mini-run starts on the main course, then turns back at the designated distance and runs back to the finish along the same route. The 400m kids' race will be held at the race center.

By registering, participants acknowledge that the race takes place on a trail, and successfully completing it requires proper physical and mental preparation, as well as experience. The organizers are not responsible for accidents or damages resulting from lack of preparation or negligence.

Photographs and videos will be taken during the race. By registering, participants acknowledge and consent to the use and publication of these images.
